About Christa

After completing 9 years in the Army, I missed the sense of belonging and being part of a group. A group that has a culture of mental and physical discipline but most importantly one of trust, camaraderie, and support. After completing my enlistment in 2012, I craved a sense of adventure, risk, and purpose. I began to look for a hobby that would provide a similar mental, physical, and emotional exercise.

I'm not sure if I found yoga or if it found me but that's when I signed up for yoga teacher training and trained with Danielle Mojo and Toni Reino at Hot Yoga Revolution in New Jersey. Their teaching changed my life and empowered me in a way that opened my eyes to a life of possibility, power, and positivity. It gave me exactly what I was looking for and with the friendships of mutual understanding and experience I craved.

Fueled with a newfound clarity and confidence, I opened House Yoga in my home town of Kenilworth NJ, shortly after graduating with my 200 hour certification. I wanted House Yoga to be a place of community, where yoga isn't intimidating, and a place where camaraderie, challenge, and belonging could be found.

As a yoga teacher, my ultimate goal is to truly empower, inspire, and motivate my students. If my students can overcome their limits, push through their own personal physical, mental, and emotional obstacles, and realize their potential to be and do anything they absolutely want... then I know my message is clear: That every person is strong, that they can be bold, that they can overcome all of life's challenges, and have the adventure of a lifetime. That they are a new breed of yogis. That they are Yoganites.
